About Patriot Equity Credit Union
Patriot Equity Credit Union is a non-profit cooperative organization created for the purpose of providing financial services to its members. Every member is a shareholder or “owner” of the Credit Union.
Founded in 1929, Patriot Equity Credit Union (originally known as Federal Employees Credit Union and formerly known as Postal Employees Credit Union) is a community chartered credit union serving the people of Madison County. If you live, work, worship, attend school, are an enterprise or organization; are a director, employee, volunteer, or retiree of the above mentioned; in Madison County, you are eligible for membership. Additionally, Patriot Equity Credit Union serves the employees and family members of the U.S. Postal Service, employees of the Federal Government, Railroad Employees, small employee groups, and family members.
The Credit Union operates with a non-paid Board of Directors, a salaried manager, and a salaried staff. The Credit Union policies are determined by the Board of Directors. These volunteers are elected by the membership at the annual meeting.
